Arlington Heights

Village of Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights is an established community of small-town charm and big city amenities. The appeal of this established community lies in the combination of friendly neighborhoods and an abundance of cultural, educational, entertainment and recreational opportunities.

The location of Arlington Heights offers great access to major thoroughfares making travel convenient to nearby suburbs as well as to Chicago and O'Hare International Airport. The Downtown train station is Metra's busiest commuter stop on the Northwest rail line. The train station is the hub of a transit-oriented, pedestrian friendly urban neighborhood where commuters working in Chicago can live a short walk from the station and near shopping, restaurants, entertainment and various parks where many events are held throughout the year.

Arlington Heights' 8-block Downtown business Association offers a great array of shops, fine restaurants, theaters, galleries and boutiques. The village is home to the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre and, of course, the 325-acre Arlington Park Racecourse.

The park district offers a vast array of recreational opportunities and facilities including the Olympic Indoor Swim Center, Arlington Lakes and Nickol Knoll golf clubs, racquet and fitness clubs, tennis, gardens and community parks.

Arlington Heights is recognized as having school districts that are among the best in the Chicago metropolitan area. Below are links that will take you to the web sites for the respective school districts.
