Elk Grove Village
Located 22 miles form Chicago and only minutes from O'Hare and a half dozen interstate highways, Elk Grove Village is a great place to live and work. The village was originally planned by a land development group and has grown and prospered into a hard-working community with an outstanding tax base, low property taxes, and award-winning park district programs.
Elk Grove Park District was recently named one of the 25 best parks and recreation agencies in the nation. The Park District maintains more than 450 acres of land with playgrounds, a fitness center, swimming pools, a theme park, playing fields, an 18-hole championship golf course, year-round recreational programs and events, a senior citizen center, a fully equipped cable television studio and a 110,000 square-foot pavilion complete with a carousel ride.
One of Illinois' largest public recreational areas borders Elk Grove Village to the west. The Ned Brown-Busse Woods Forest Preserve features miles of nature and bike trails, numerous picnic sites and a 590-acre lake for fishing, sailing and boating.
